The iPhone 14 Pro Max actually has a smaller battery capacity than its successor, the iPhone 15 Pro Max. So the iPhone 15 Pro Max will take slightly longer to charge, despite its USB-C port. (The USB-C port on new iPhones has no effect on charging times.) The iPhone 12 Pro Max does come with the A14 bionic chipset, which is more energy efficient thanks to its 5nm manufacturing process, which could offset the difference in battery capacity. At first glance, the numbers appear mildly disappointing, with a capacity one-third of the iPhone 12 Pro Max battery. More important than milliamp-hours, though is power and voltage.
