In Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord, there are two types of passive income: workshops and caravans. Both types of businesses are available to any player at any time in the game. They are costly, especially at the beginning of the game, so it’s worth thinking twice before investing the first 15-20 thousand dinars in your business.
7 workshops here 3-4k a day. I noticed income from workshops increases with prosperity of town! (and I only bought workshops from towns I own) Oh, and these workshops only provide goods like equipment, velvet etc. No food workshops. (havent tried actually). I can imagine with the millions of grain available each town a brewery might work super
Then you take all the wool you produced and sell it in some other city. We need more tools for managing workshops, caravans and affecting market for sure, but some people here just want to make any workshop anywhere and expect it to be profitable. Edit: Btw in this playthgough where I had monopoly on oil, oil prices in some places were 300+.
The economy in 1.8 is vastly different than anything we have seen. This has caused workshops to behave a bit differently. this is a simple process to assure you make money. Watch my workshop video, it is time stamped for each kingdom so you can see all towns in the kingdom quickly. 1.8 Workshop Video

The parties will pay their own soldiers and even make profits for you if you take them into an army and you defeat some enemy armies. Defeat one enemy army and your parties will go from costing you, to making several thousand a day. During times of peace parties can be expensive to maintain, but during times of war they are good money makers.
Question Is it just me and my game is bugged? I had a smithy in Epicrotea (with a iron village), and a brewery in Omor (with a grain village), and they’re just not making any money. But they’re not costing me money either. It’s just a flat zero every day in game since I purchased them. 7 13 Sort by: Add a Comment Leoucarii • 1 yr. ago
Your caravans and sweatshops workshops should bring enough money to cover the expenses. The fiefs should be the profits or vice versa. The fiefs should be the profits or vice versa. But this will make sure that you can barter with lords later on as well, specialty if you partook int he art of using a hammer to smith.
You can literally just spend hours murdering looters by yourself and make plenty. Once you start massacring enemy lords the denars just roll in. Workshops/Caravans/Fiefs are basically inconsequential. If you still need more money then start working on your smithing. Sell javelins for 10k each or make a fancy two-handed sword and sell it for 60k.
Though weirdly, Trade isn't the skill you should focus on for the companion, but rather high Scouting and Riding, anything to increase movement speed or sight radius, so that they can survive a bit longer. Trade will gradually increase by itself. In my opinion, the best way to make money, is as a smith. I tried caravans and workshops, and their
