An adventure game like BOTW but coop would be perfect. I'll list the games we liked. Some I played through with them watching/helping puzzle solve some were coop. BOTW. Zelda Link to the past. Zelda Ocarina of Time. Portal 1&2. Super Mario Wii. SNES Turtles in Time. 12 Orbits is a 1-button game for up to 12 players. To play, the button is chosen by each player on any input device that works for the Switch. You could even have a really weird game where everyone had a different button on a single controller. This all started because I wanted to play Civilization 6 online with a friend who also it on the Switch. As many of you know, it doesn't have online multiplayer, but does support LAN. I found a way to get it working with an OpenVPN server and two Raspberry Pis (one for each of us) that I configured as WiFi access points for the Switch. I'm only going to include co-op campaign games, so competitive multiplayer games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Tennis Aces, Super Mario Party, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Wargroove, Duck Game, Crawl, and Ultimate Chicken Horse are not included. See below for my top 16 (16 instead of 15 because I forgot Overcooked somehow!). Mario Kart, Mario Party, Fall Guys, Overwatch, Pokemon Unite, Smash Bros, Dead by Daylight, just to name a few that I play often. Tetris 99 and/or Pacman 99 (or whatever number it is). Rocket League and Fall Guys are both free to play and thanks to crossplay with other platforms always has readily available players. For record, I'm aware basically everything is possible on all models of the switch apart from a few exceptions. Mainly asking which multiplayer games where playing on a Lite won't hamper my experience much. For example, games like Overwatch 2, Apex and to a degree Smash Ultimate just don't seem like they'd be a very fun experience on the Lite. Ultra space battle brawl, black and white bushido, pix the cat, db fighterz (up to 6 players!), Runbow, nippon marathon, battery jam, og doom ($2 rn), penguin wars, oh my godheads. Havent tried but worth checkin: Pig eat ball, fight crab, alpaca ball, hyperbrawl tournament, aeolis tournament. 2. Tools Up! Garden Party. The best part of Tools Up! isnβt the main story, which can be hit or miss β itβs the Garden Party DLC. This is an Overcooked -style couch co-op game about cleaning up
All these have beatable campaigns/runs. Rocket League, Rivals of Aether, Super Mario Maker 2, Clubhouse Games, Killer Queen Black, Windjammers, Hyper Jam, Yugioh Legacy of the Duelists, Mario Party Superstars. All these are great for the competitive itch. Tried my best to avoid repeat games from earlier posts.
