PostedNovember 21, 2021. As mentioned this subject has come up before. How I see it: Revell is the better kit, Airfix is the better model. Airfix is more accurate in many respects, but it's considerably more difficult to put together and has heavy panel lines.
Paintingis a choice, but the plastic is a single color and a finished unpainted model will look, well, like unpainted plastic. As noted in our wiki/FAQ, modeling choices depend on scale, subject, and quality. In 1/48 scale the Tamiya Spitfire is the best there is. Youâll need a few paints to finish it, but not more than 7.
