581 posts · Joined 2009. #5 · Dec 12, 2009. I have 118,000 on the Jeep. The question i'm asking is, is it bad that I only got to do the rear diff fluid change, and I used a heavier weight.75w140. So the rear has new 75w140 and the front has the old stock fluid for now 05 JGC 5.7.
1) remove oil filter. 2) slide red tab on backside (just push it from one side or the other until it moves a bit) (My connector just cracked off ) 3) Pinch tail end of connector near the wire and slide off. 4) Use 1-1/16 deep socket ($10 at sears) to loosen/remove old sensor.
I'm in the process of troubleshooting a 2004 Jeep WJ 4.7 Laredo 4WD which starts up and revs up smooth, and even runs smoothly for the first 5 minutes or so, before suddenly running very rough with lots of really loud piston slap.
