I thought the 2nd hand SHH Shifter I bought was broken even though it works and detected by windows's game controller properties. IT TURNS OUT that it is in fact the steam controller settings that was clashing with it. Erik is right.

So I fixed it, I believe the problem is that content manager messes with the in this case Logitech_G29_noshifter.ini file when you load up a preset, modify it and try to save it anew. It's a bug that can cause massive problems for people because even after clean installing assetto

. #1. I'm using Assetto Corsa and Content Manager with a Simucube 1 and Heusinkveld pedals. The problem I have is that both the steering wheel and the pedals don't work at all until I click settings/Assetto Corsa/controls. I only have to do this the first time I load CM, but I wonder if there's a way to fix it.
